Rules & Guidelines

1. Respect for All People

Every person who enters our spaces — physical or digital — deserves to feel respected and welcome. This means:

• Treating every participant with dignity, regardless of their background, identity, or skill level.
• Zero tolerance for harassment, intimidation, hate speech, or discrimination of any kind — including on the basis of race, gender, sexuality, religion, age, ability, or nationality.
• Avoiding language or behavior that demeans, threatens, or excludes others.
• Understanding that banter has limits. When someone says "stop," you stop.

2. Fair Play

The integrity of play depends on everyone playing honestly.

• No cheating, exploiting, or manipulating rules for personal advantage.
• No using bots, scripts, or external tools to gain unfair advantages in digital experiences.
• Report glitches, bugs, or potential exploits to the team rather than using them.
• Compete with spirit — winning should feel earned; losing should feel like a lesson.
• Helping others improve is celebrated. Gatekeeping is not.

3. Safe Physical Spaces

At in-person events and at our physical studio:

• Follow all safety instructions given by playrippl.cyou staff and venue team members.
• Do not attend events while impaired in a way that compromises safety — yours or others'.
• No unauthorized recording or photography of other participants without their explicit consent.
• No bringing prohibited items (weapons, illegal substances, unauthorized equipment) to events.
• Respect venue property. Damage caused will be the responsibility of the individual.
• In the event of an emergency, follow staff directions immediately and calmly.

4. Digital Space Standards

Our online platforms, community forums, chat spaces, and digital experiences have the same standards as our physical spaces.

• No spam, flooding, or repetitive off-topic posting.
• No sharing personal information (yours or others') without explicit consent.
• No distributing malicious files, links, or code.
• No impersonating other members, staff, or public figures.
• No commercial solicitation or self-promotion without prior written permission.
• Content that is explicitly sexual, graphically violent, or deeply offensive is not permitted.

5. Privacy & Consent

• Do not share other participants' personal details in any forum or channel.
• Photography and video at events may occur for playrippl.cyou's own documentation. If you do not wish to be photographed, please notify a staff member and we will accommodate your request.
• User-generated content submitted to community spaces should be your own original work, or content you have the right to share.

6. Accessibility & Inclusion

• We actively design our experiences to be accessible. If you have accessibility needs, please contact us before an event so we can accommodate you properly.
• Do not make assumptions about others' abilities or needs.
• Support inclusion by making space for others to participate — not crowding out, dominating, or minimizing.

7. Content Sharing & Intellectual Property

• Do not reproduce, repost, or redistribute playrippl.cyou's original content, event footage, or branded materials without written permission.
• When sharing about your experience on personal channels, you are welcome to do so positively and authentically — but should not misrepresent or commercially exploit our brand.

8. Enforcement

Violations of these guidelines may result in:

• A formal warning from the playrippl.cyou team.
• Temporary suspension from an event, platform, or community space.
• Permanent removal from playrippl.cyou events and platforms.
• Reporting to relevant authorities where illegal conduct has occurred.

We make enforcement decisions on a case-by-case basis, considering context and severity. Our decisions are final. However, we welcome feedback on our process at [email protected].

9. Reporting

If you witness or experience behavior that violates these guidelines:

• At a live event: notify a playrippl.cyou staff member immediately.
• On a digital platform: use the report function or email [email protected].

All reports are treated with confidentiality. We will never retaliate against anyone who files a good-faith report.

10. Updates to Guidelines

These guidelines may evolve as our community grows and our experiences expand. We will communicate meaningful changes via our website and direct communication where appropriate. Your continued participation constitutes acceptance of the current guidelines.
